About Metal Disintegrators
Electro Arc's metal disintegrators are primarily used for removing broken taps, drill bits, screws, broken bolt removal, stud remover, dowel pins, and many other types of fasteners. There is no distortion to the part, hole or thread. Core sampling is accomplished quickly without distorting existing material properties. This process is also known as electrical discharge machining and spark erosion for tap removal, stud removers, broken off bolt extractor, and the removal of other tools. Electro Arc electrode metal disintegrators are also used for roll marking and branding metal for permanent identification.
Standard machines are grouped into the following categories:
Portable Metal Disintegrator Machines: General purpose portables, Heavy Duty fully automated to include coolant recovery systems. Heavy Duty portable use for off road applications, power plants, and pulp and paper industries. Specials for military use on board ships, aircraft, tanks and personnel carriers and tool rooms.
Table Models
Our five basic table sizes we manufacture will handle most applications. For those parts that are to large for the table, the head can be rotated 180 degrees and the operator can work off the back. Larger tables or fixtures can be designed at Electro Arc for your special applications.
AE Series
The AE series machines were designed specifically for automotive blocks, heads, cams, crankshafts, and transmission cases. These special machines offer fool -proof positioning and easy load and off loading of parts.
Roll Marking and Roll Branding Machines
Electro Arc manufactures special designed machines to handle large rolls for branding rebar and other stock materials.
Core Sampling
Super heavy-duty machines are used for this application. Portable magnetic fixtures support our heavy-duty head with autofeed and current monitoring. This machine is usually built with our 20kva water-cooled power supply. The machinery delivers continuous disintegration for a most demanding application.
Electrodes
Electrodes for the metal disintegrator are available in Molybdenum (moly), Copper, Carbon, Graphite, and Copper Tungsten. Electrodes are available in round, square, hex and in special numeric and alpha characters.
